Mata Manasa Devi
Puja, devoted to Snake Goddess, also recognized as Nag Panchami, is observed
largely in Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam and zones of Orissa on various days in the
months of Ashar, Shravan and Bhadrapad (June - September).
Manasa is a mata of snakes and male fertility. She fulfills the desires and
protects one against snakebite. Needed earth and be better skills, she is
worshiped largely in eastern India. She is also propitiated by individuals
lacking kids for an early childbirth.
